Chris is responsible for the restart of First Cal in 2002. As President and CEO, he manages its strategic direction by negotiating and structuring relationships with Wall Street, Depository Banks, Secondary Market Investors, and Warehouse Banks. He is also Vice Chairman of the Board.

He is a principal and director of Standard Trust Deed Service, RSVP, and FCMC Insurance Agency. He is a licensed California real estate broker and member of the Fannie Mae Western Region Advisory Board.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of San Diego in 2000 and is currently in the process of completing his MBA with a CMB designation from the University of Liverpool. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids in their home in the North Bay.

Joe joined the First Cal family in February 2016. As the EVP of National Production, he is responsible for leading the charge in the Retail, Wholesale, Consumer Direct and Affinity channels - driving a robust sales culture and operational efficiency that provide a best in class experience for all First Cal customers.

With over 20 years of retail and wholesale lending experience both in sales and operational leadership, Joe is a seasoned mortgage professional. He utilizes a collaborative approach that unifies production teams and drives them to greater levels of success.

Joe attended Messiah College where he earned his B.S. in Education. In his spare time, Joe cycles for Team in Training and spends time with family and friends discovering new favorite wines.

Brandon joined First Cal in 2014 after almost 25 years in the Mortgage Industry. Currently, he runs capital markets and oversees Secondary Marketing and Product Development.

He began his career as a funder in the credit and compliance department at the Warehouse Bank First Collateral Services. In 2000, Brandon moved to Capitol Commerce Mortgage as a Secondary Marketing Analyst, primarily dealing with Scratch & Dent Loans, Contract Underwriting disputes, and Bulk Mandatory sales. He then became a Senior Account Manager and lead trainer at the premier 3^rd party outsourced hedging company Compass Analytics, where he spent 10 years advising clients on hedging, sales, best execution, and operational management.

He earned a degree in Finance from Oregon State University in 1998.

Howard brings an entrepreneurial spirit to First Cal, along with the experience and education necessary to make First Cal an industry leader in technology.

Prior to joining First Cal, Howard founded Red Dog Technology, serving as its Chief Technology Officer since 2009. As well, he worked at Charles Schwab, Bank of America Securities, Lehman Brothers, Ernst & Young, First Republic Bank and others. Throughout his career, he has served as Vice President, CTO, Director of IT Operations, Director of Support Services and various other leadership roles.

Howard completed his MBA in Management Systems at the University of Minnesota and received a BS in Computer Science (Cum Laude) at Pace University.

Alice joined the First Cal team in May 2014 with over thirty years of experience in the Mortgage Industry. She is a member of the Executive Team and is responsible for overseeing Compliance, Underwriting, Quality Control, Credit Risk, Post Closing and Servicing.

Prior to First Cal, she joined SN Servicing Corporation as a consultant and acting Chief Credit Officer. Her primary responsibilities were the development and documentation of both general servicing operations and MSR acquisition processes, providing due diligence services, and performing Seller Risk Assessment for MSR business partners.

Additionally, she was an Executive Consultant at Hilltop Advisors and Global Logic Advisors and Director of Loss Mitigation and Chief Credit Officer at First Franklin Financial where she spent fifteen years.

When not working, Alice enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and spending time with family. She can put together an excellent pie.

Jeff is the VP of National Production for the Consumer Direct Channel. He is responsible for all aspects of the division, including Lead Generation, Sales and Operations.

Jeff joined First Cal in 2010 on the wholesale side, working his way up to VP of National Production for Wholesale. Prior to First Cal, he had experience working as a retail branch Manager, as well as positions as a wholesale and correspondent Account Executive. 

Jeff attended the University of Oregon. In his free time Jeff enjoys spending time with his family.

Shannon has been with First Cal for 11 years and currently oversees all Human Resources functions, including planning, directing and carrying out policies. She leads a team of three HR professionals that handle payroll, employee benefits, recruiting and new hire on-boarding. 

Prior to working for Fist Cal Shannon was a high school teacher in Marin.

Shannon has a Master of Arts from the University of San Francisco. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Human Resources Management Certificate from Sonoma State University.

When Shannon is not working or spending time with her family, she’s volunteering with the American Cancer Society Relay For Life as a Coaching and Development Territory Lead Volunteer.

Susan joined the First Cal team in November of 2015 with over thirty years of experience in the Mortgage Industry. Susan in is charge of Quality Control, Investor Post Repurchase and HUD Deficiencies.

Susan joined First Cal with a concentration in management, operations, underwriting, quality control, and process improvement for both Agency and Non Agency products. She was previously a Director and Senior Consultant at a Defense and Resolution firm where she was responsible for developing internal operating policies and training auditors to analyze mortgage loan files for credit worthiness and investor compliance. She was also responsible for creating a recovery process for misdirected mortgage insurance proceeds.

Additionally, she held the role of VP Quality Control and Loss Mitigation at First Franklin Financial where she spent 13 years.

When not working, Susan enjoys working out, cooking and spending time with family.
